The story follows journalist Jayadev, who uncovers political corruption and becomes caught in a dangerous situation after a Maoist group attacks the politician he is investigating. Taken hostage, Jayadev finds himself drawn into a psychological and ideological conflict with his captors.
The film was notable for its realistic treatment and unconventional subject. It was also showcased in the Indian Panorama section of the 2011 International Film Festival of India and went on to receive two Nandi Awards, including Third Best Feature Film for producer Anil Meka and Best Dialogue Writer for Neelakanta.
